A bigger museum means we need more help – Volunteer Today!
The Door County Maritime Museum is recruiting volunteers who are excited to learn about maritime history and share it with museum visitors.
- Do you enjoy talking to individuals and groups of up to 25 guests?
- Do you enjoy giving tours and answering questions?
- Do you have a flexible schedule?
- Are you excited to learn about Door County’s rich maritime history?
- Do you find yourself telling stories and sharing history?
If you answered “yes!” to any of the above questions, the perfect volunteer opportunity awaits you at the Door County Maritime Museum! Did you think to yourself, “I’ve never done this before.”? Well, you have nothing to worry about, because museum staff provides all necessary instruction and hands-on training.
The Door County Maritime Museum is open seven days a week from 10:00am to 5:00pm with tours scheduled as early as 8:00 am. With the wide variety of hours and tours available, there are volunteer opportunities available for everyone’s schedule.
Volunteer docents bring the exhibits and history to life. These fun opportunities create long-lasting impressions on museum guests, ensuring each guest has an enriching and educational experience while visiting the museum.
The Door County Maritime Museum is a nonprofit organization that appreciates volunteer assistance in many areas. If you would like to share your expertise in another capacity, please contact us today.
