From the South
If you’re headed to Sturgeon Bay from the south, enjoy a scenic tour of Wisconsin’s Schooner Coast along the way. From I-43 North, take Exit 149/Hwy 151. Turn right and follow the Hwy 151 signs to 8th St. Turn left and cross the 8th Street Bridge. Turn right onto Maritime Dr. The Wisconsin Maritime Museum, which marks the beginning of the Schooner Coast, is on your right. From the museum, take Maritime Dr. to Hwy. 42, which leads to Two Rivers, Kewaunee and Algoma. Out of Algoma, take Hwy. S to Hwy. U to Sturgeon Bay. When you reach Sturgeon Bay, turn left onto Hwy 42/57. Turn right onto Neenah Ave. and turn left on Oak St. (after Pine). Turn right at the stop sign onto Madison Ave. Follow two blocks to the Door County Maritime Museum on your right.
From Green Bay
From Green Bay on Hwy. 42/57, take the Business Hwy. 42/57 Exit (Walgreen’s) into Sturgeon Bay. Follow around and down the hill towards the water and go straight at the light on Maple Ave. Then turn right into the Door County Maritime Museum parking lot, just before the historic steel bridge.
From the North
On Hwy. 42/57, turn right onto Michigan St. (stop & go light) and drive 18 blocks to cross the historic Michigan St. bridge. Immediately turn left into the Museum parking lot after crossing the bridge.
