Green Bay is celebrating the return of Nicolet Bank Tall Ships®. Once again it’s expected to be one of the largest outdoor events in Northeast Wisconsin. Green Bay is one of only a few ports in the USA and Canada honored to host the TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE® Great Lakes 2019. This three-day event features on-board ship tours, sailing excursions, music, entertainment and a maritime marketplace. Find out more by clicking here.
After the Festival in Green Bay, the Tall Ships will travel to Sturgeon Bay on Monday, June 29. You can view the Parade of Sail on Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning from our second floor outdoor deck or enclosed Bridge Room. The museum will be open until 8pm on the 29th and reopen at 8am on the 30th. The dock behind the Museum will host the Tall Ships Windy, a 148-foot traditional four-masted schooner, as well as the Bluenose II, a 181-foot schooner with the world’s largest working mainsail. We will also be hosting boat tours in the Sturgeon Bay canal for an up-close look at the ships. Contact the Museum for tour details.
