New Membership Campaign Underway Now!

As a member of the Door County Maritime Museum, you are the life blood of the organization. Hopefully, your membership has been both fun and enriching. The Museum’s Board of Directors recently reinstituted its Membership Committee to enhance the membership experience. We are asking you to help us in the committee’s first membership campaign; your involvement will result in some additional benefits for you in the process!

The “Each One Brings One” campaign is just what it sounds like. You are in the best position to tell others about the benefits of membership – the free admission, store discounts, “merry time” member events and the warm feeling you get from preserving the county’s rich maritime heritage. For the next month we are asking current members to approach friends about becoming a DCMM member; you’ll be surprised just how many have been waiting to be asked to join.

The fun part of this campaign comes on Sunday evening, July 26, when members who have successfully recruited a new member will be invited to bring their new member(s) to a FREE pre-concert dinner, served “picnic-style” at the museum in Sturgeon Bay. Michael Raye & The Works, our most popular act in the Summer Concert Series, will be performing. Only established members and their new enrollees will be invited to the dinner, and they will have preferred seating for the 7 p.m. concert. Wait…it doesn’t stop there. The recruiting member gets his or her name entered into the drum for a number of prizes to be drawn on the night of the concert. Top prize is a life membership to the Museum!

How you can participate:

1. . Click here to download and print the Membership form. Fill it out, enclose payment payable to "DCMM," and mail it back to the Museum at 120 N. Madison Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235.

2. . Click here to purchase a membership online via MasterCard or Visa. Be sure to state the recruiting member's name in the "Special Instructions" area so they get credit for their participation!

For the Museum’s planning purposes, you have until Monday, July 20 to submit new memberships and to be eligible for the membership picnic and prize drawing. All it takes is one new member to ensure yourself a fun evening and the chance at a life membership. Gathering new members is vital to the future of the Museum, and adding your friends to the Museum family enhances the enjoyment you can expect from your membership.

Joining me on the new Membership Committee are Janet Grota, Tom Hahn, Bob Loss, Linda Silvasi-Kelly, Laurie Stache, Trudy Herbst and Jon Gast. On behalf of the entire committee, I look forward to seeing you on July 26!

Sincerely,

Greg Miller
Committee Chair
