WANTED! Classic Boats and Their Owners for 2008

The Door County Maritime Museum will be hosting its 18th annual Classic & Wooden Boat Show on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 2 & 3, 2008 on the Museum's waterfront grounds in Sturgeon Bay. We'd like to invite you to enter your classic boat in the show! Entry is free; with boats judged in a number of categories, both by a team of trained judges as well as by the public.

To register, please fill out the registration form on this page and send it to us. We will confirm your registration via e-mail. Twenty-four hour boat security is provided.

Other popular events at the show include the Sikaflex Challenge Boat Building Contest. Conducted over both days, two-person teams are given a limited supply of materials and time to construct a boat on Saturday and then navigate it over an established race course on Sunday. Again, entry is free but the number of teams will be limited to 12*. Request an entry form, either by phone 920-743-5958, email, or on this page.

Children can also get into boat-building Saturday and Sunday! Divided into two age groups, children are given parts of a model boat and then guided to build and decorate them. Supplies are limited, with registration on each day.
